I'm trying to understand more about secondary immune mediated hemolytic anemia and I'm wondering if anyone here could help me out? Secondary immune mediated hemolytic anemia (SIMHA) is a type of anemia that is caused by the body’s own immune system attacking and destroying red blood cells. The red blood cells are destroyed much faster than they can be replaced, leading to a decrease in the number of red blood cells in the body. This can cause a variety of symptoms, including fatigue, shortness of breath, pale skin, and jaundice.
