Mild asphyxia score is a scoring system used to measure the severity of asphyxia in newborn babies. It is based on four criteria: Apgar score, birth weight, Gestational age, and pH. The score is calculated by adding the Apgar score to the birth weight, subtracting the gestational age, and subtracting the pH. The higher the score, the more severe the asphyxia is. The mild asphyxia score ranges from 0 to 10, with 0 being the mildest and 10 being the most severe. It is important to note that the mild asphyxia score is not intended to be used as a diagnostic tool, but rather as a guide to help determine the need for medical intervention.
