"Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and I was hoping to get some insight into what LFT for pancreas is. I've heard some people talk about it, but I'm not sure what it is or how it affects the pancreas. Could someone please explain it to me? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

LFT stands for Liver Function Test, which is a comprehensive test used to measure the function of the pancreas. It is usually done as part of a panel of other tests to assess the health of the pancreas and surrounding organs. The test looks at specific enzymes and proteins in the pancreas, and compares them to the normal levels. If any of the enzymes or proteins are too high or too low, it can indicate a problem with the pancreas. The test can also be used to monitor people who have had surgery on the pancreas for any changes that might indicate a problem.
