What is it called when someone has 2 personalities

I'm looking for some help understanding what it's called when someone has 2 personalities. I'm not sure if it has a medical or psychological term, or if it's something else entirely. Does anyone have any knowledge about this topic that they can share with me? I'm really interested to find out more about it.
