I'm hoping to get some help from other forum users. I'm looking for what another name is for white lung. I know it's a type of lung disease, but I'm not sure what it's called. Has anyone heard of it before, or know what it's called? I'm trying to find more information about it, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

White lung is another term for pneumoconiosis, which is a type of lung disease that occurs when a person is exposed to a dusty environment for a prolonged period of time. It is most commonly seen in workers in industrial occupations such as coal mining, stone quarrying, or metal smelting. Common symptoms of white lung include difficulty breathing, persistent cough, chest tightness, and excessive fatigue. Over time, white lung can lead to permanent lung damage and, in severe cases, death. Treatment for white lung typically involves eliminating exposure to the dust, quitting smoking, and taking medications to reduce inflammation and improve breathing. In some cases, surgery may be required to remove scar tissue from the lungs.

This dust contains tiny particles that become trapped in the lungs, leading to inflammation and scarring in the lung tissue. Symptoms of white lung include shortness of breath, chest tightness, coughing, and wheezing. Treatment includes avoiding exposure to the dust, taking medications to reduce inflammation, and in some cases, surgery.
