90% alcohol, or ethyl alcohol, is most commonly used for medical and laboratory purposes. It is often employed as a disinfectant because of its antiseptic properties. It is also used for cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments, as well as surfaces in medical and laboratory settings.

In addition, ethyl alcohol is also used as a solvent for pharmaceutical products, such as tinctures, extracts, and essences. It is also used in the manufacture of various products, including perfumes, detergents, cosmetics, and household cleaners.

Ethyl alcohol is also a key ingredient in alcoholic beverages. When distilled, it is responsible for creating the characteristic flavor and aroma of alcoholic beverages. Because of its high alcohol content, it is also used to produce alcoholic spirits, such as vodka, gin, and whiskey.

Finally, ethyl alcohol is also used industrially as a fuel additive, as a solvent for paints and varnishes, and as a source of energy for power plants. It can also be used as a fuel in certain racing cars.
