What infection is associated with anemia

I'm looking for help with a medical issue. I recently had a routine blood test and the results showed that I had anemia. My doctor believes it could be caused by an infection. Does anyone have experience with this? Are there any common infections associated with anemia? What can I do to help prevent or treat the infection? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Malaria

Malaria is a parasitic infection that is a leading cause of anemia. It is caused by the Plasmodium parasite, which is transmitted through the bites of Anopheles mosquitoes. Symptoms of malaria include fever, chills, and flu-like symptoms, as well as anemia. Anemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to the body’s tissues. Anemia caused by malaria is often severe and can lead to death if untreated. Treatment involves medications to kill the parasites and prevent future infections.
