Subtitle: Fruits for Allergic Rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis, also known as hay fever, is a type of inflammation in the nose caused by an allergic reaction to pollen, dust, or other allergens in the air. It can cause symptoms such as sneezing, congestion, runny nose, and itchy eyes. While there is no cure for allergic rhinitis, there are a variety of treatments and lifestyle modifications that can help reduce symptoms. Eating certain fruits may also help reduce symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

Vitamin C-Rich Fruits
Citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, and grapefruits are high in vitamin C, which has been shown to reduce the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Research suggests that taking 500 milligrams of vitamin C daily can reduce the severity of symptoms and reduce the amount of antihistamines needed to control symptoms. Other vitamin C-rich fruits include kiwi, strawberries, and papaya.

Berries
Berries are rich in antioxidants, which help reduce inflammation caused by allergic rhinitis. Studies have shown that eating berries can reduce sneezing, congestion, and other allergy symptoms. Berries such as blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries are especially high in antioxidants and can be eaten raw or added to smoothies.

Bananas
Bananas are packed with potassium, which helps reduce inflammation and reduce the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Eating a banana a day can help reduce congestion and sneezing. Bananas can also be added to smoothies or used to make banana bread.

Pears
Pears are high in fiber, which can help reduce inflammation in the body and reduce the symptoms of allergic rhinitis. Eating a pear a day can help reduce congestion and sneezing. Pears can also be added to smoothies, salads, and used to make pear sauce.

Eating certain fruits can help reduce symptoms of allergic rhinitis. However, it is important to consult with a doctor before beginning any new diet or supplement routine.
