"Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me with a question I have about non fatal strangulation. What evidence is needed to prove a case of non fatal strangulation? Are there different types of evidence that must be collected? Are there any specific legal procedures that must be followed? Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.

Physical Evidence

Physical evidence is needed to prove a nonfatal strangulation. This evidence can include the presence of bruises or marks on the victim's neck, or other signs of strangulation such as difficulty breathing, hoarseness, or vocal changes. In addition, the defendant may have scratches or bruises on their hands or arms that could indicate a struggle.

Testimony

Testimony can also be used as evidence in a nonfatal strangulation case. Witnesses or victims can provide testimony about the incident, which can help to corroborate physical evidence. In some cases, a medical expert may be called to provide an opinion on the severity of the strangulation or any long-term effects.

Video Evidence

Video evidence can be used to prove a nonfatal strangulation. This may include security footage of the incident or footage recorded by a witness or victim. It can also include recordings of the victim's or defendant's voice, which can help to corroborate the victim's version of events.

Documentation

Documentation is also important in a nonfatal strangulation case. This may include medical records, police reports, or other documents that can provide evidence about the incident. Additionally, the victim or defendant may have written or spoken statements that can help to prove their version of events.
