I am looking for help understanding what drug is given for immune hemolytic anemia. I am a medical student and I am having difficulty understanding this subject. I have done some reading on the topic but I am still having difficulty understanding what the drug is and how it is used to treat this condition. Can anyone provide any insight or resources that could help me better understand this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Corticosteroids are the primary treatment for immune hemolytic anemia. Corticosteroids work by suppressing the immune system's response, which helps to reduce the destruction of red blood cells. Other medications such as rituximab, cyclophosphamide, and azathioprine may also be used to treat immune hemolytic anemia. In some cases, blood transfusions may be necessary to replace the lost red blood cells.
