Hello everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me out with a question I have about paradental cysts. I've been reading up on them, but I'm still not sure what it means exactly. I'm wondering if anyone can explain what a paradental cyst is and what it might indicate for a person's oral health? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Paradental cyst is a type of benign cyst that forms around the roots of teeth. It is usually caused by periodontal disease, but can also be caused by trauma or other dental problems. The cyst can cause pain and swelling in the area. It can also lead to infection and decay of the surrounding bone. If left untreated, it can spread and cause damage to other teeth or the jawbone. Treatment for a paradental cyst usually involves draining it and removing any infected tissue. In some cases, the cyst may need to be surgically removed.
