I'm new to this forum and I'm looking for some help understanding what orofascial pain means. I've done some research online, but I'm still not sure if I'm grasping the concept correctly. Can anyone help me understand what it is and how it relates to other types of pain? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Orofascial pain is a term used to describe pain that originates from the structures of the face, mouth, and jaw. This type of pain may be caused by a variety of factors, including dental problems, trauma, infection, and stress. It can also be caused by poor posture or an underlying medical condition. Symptoms of orofascial pain can include jaw pain, facial pain, headaches, earaches, and neck pain. Treatment may involve a combination of medications, lifestyle changes, physical therapy, and other treatments depending on the severity and cause of the pain.
