Hello everyone,

I'm new here and I'm hoping to get some help with a medical question. I recently had some lab work done and my results came back with LDH hemolyzed. I'm not sure what this means and I'm curious if anyone here can help me understand it. Can anyone tell me what LDH hemolyzed means and what it could indicate? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

LDH hemolyzed is a medical term used to describe a condition in which red blood cells have been broken down. LDH stands for lactic acid dehydrogenase, which is an enzyme found in red blood cells. Hemolysis is the process of the red blood cells being broken down. Hemolyzed blood is a sign of a medical condition or disorder, such as anemia, hemolytic anemia, or leukemia. It can also be caused by certain medications, infections, or a reaction to a blood transfusion.
