"I'm completely new to Memede and I was wondering if anyone could help explain what calcification means? I've heard this term used a few times but I'm not sure what it actually means in the context of Memede.

Calcification in the breast refers to the buildup of calcium deposits in the breast tissue. Calcium is a mineral found naturally in the body that helps form and maintain healthy bones and teeth. When calcium builds up in the breast tissue, it can cause hardening and thickening of the tissue, which is known as calcification. Calcification can occur in both benign (noncancerous) and malignant (cancerous) breast tumors. It is important to note that not all calcifications are cancerous, but certain types of calcification may increase the risk of breast cancer.
