Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some help understanding what C4 means. I've seen the term used in different contexts, but I'm still not sure what it stands for. Does anyone here have any information or insights that could help me out? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

C4 is a general term used to refer to a type of plastic explosive. It is composed of a mixture of RDX (cyclonite or cyclotrimethylene trinitramine) and plastic binder. It is used in military and industrial applications because of its high explosive yield and low cost. It was developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1960s and is now used in many countries. C4 is an acronym for "Composition 4," referring to its four components. C4 is relatively stable and can be safely stored for long periods of time. It is usually sold as a paste-like substance which can be molded into any shape and detonated with a blasting cap.

C4 is a type of explosive material used in demolition and construction. It is composed of a plasticized material, which is mixed with a combination of different compounds that produce an explosive reaction when detonated. C4 is highly stable and can be detonated reliably with a detonator. It is commonly used in military and industrial applications, and is also used by hobbyists and do-it-yourselfers for demolition work. It is relatively safe to handle and is the preferred explosive for many demolition projects.

C4 is a type of plastic explosive with a detonation velocity of approximately 8,092 meters per second. It is mainly used for military operations, demolitions, and mining as it is very stable and relatively safe to handle. C4 is composed of RDX (Research Department Explosive) and a plastic binder making it mouldable and malleable. C4 must be detonated with a detonator or blasting cap in order to explode. It is considered to be one of the most powerful and versatile explosives available.

C4 is an acronym used to refer to Composition C-4, a type of plastic explosive. It is a widely used explosive material in military and industrial applications due to its relative stability, low cost, and ease of use. C4 consists of a plasticized mixture of RDX (cyclotrimethylene trinitramine) and PETN (pentaerythritol tetranitrate), along with a few other ingredients. The exact composition of C4 varies depending on the manufacturer, but the RDX content is usually around 91%, and the PETN content is usually around 8%.

C4 is a highly stable explosive material, meaning it does not spontaneously detonate like some other explosives. It requires a detonator, or a shock wave from a nearby explosion, to set it off. C4 is relatively safe to handle and can be molded into any shape, making it ideal for use in a wide range of applications. It is employed in demolition operations, as well as in the construction of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). C4 is also used in mining and quarrying operations, as well as in some industrial applications.

Since C4 is a very powerful explosive, it is strictly regulated and requires a government permit to purchase. It is also important to handle C4 with care, as it does present some safety risks. Improper handling can lead to accidental detonation, which can cause serious injury or death.

C4 is an explosive material that is commonly used in military and industrial applications. It is composed of RDX, a nitroamine, and a plasticiser, usually polyisobutylene, which allows the material to be molded into various shapes. C4 is very stable and difficult to detonate, so it is often used to breach doors and walls in military operations. It is also used to demolish large structures, since it can be safely detonated from a distance. C4 is highly reliable and can easily be stored for long periods of time, making it a popular choice for both military and industrial applications.

C4 stands for the explosive compound Composition C-4, a plastic explosive composed of RDX, a wax binding agent, and plasticizers. It is stable under most conditions and can be detonated by a shock wave.
