What disease is associated with elevated ALT

I'm a bit worried about my recent lab results. My ALT levels were elevated and I'm not sure why. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge about what kind of disease could be associated with elevated ALT levels? Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.

ALT, or alanine transaminase, is an enzyme found in the liver and other organs. Elevated ALT levels are a sign of damage to or inflammation of the liver, and can be caused by a number of diseases, including hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease, and certain cancers.
