I'm trying to find out what country had yellow fever. I'm researching this for a school project, and I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Does anyone know what country had yellow fever?

I've looked up a lot of different resources, but I'm not finding a definitive answer. If anyone has any suggestions on where to look or what to research, I'd really appreciate it. I'm hoping someone here has the answer or can point me in the right direction.

Yellow fever is a mosquito-borne viral disease that is most commonly found in tropical areas of Africa and South America. The virus is transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito and can cause severe liver damage, jaundice, and kidney failure. Symptoms of yellow fever include fever, chills, muscle aches, and nausea. Vaccination is the best form of prevention against yellow fever, and it is recommended that travelers to these areas receive a vaccine at least 10 days before their trip. For those who are already infected, treatment typically involves supportive care such as hydration, rest, and pain relievers. In some cases, medications such as Ribavirin may be used to reduce the severity of symptoms.

Yellow fever is a vector-borne disease caused by the yellow fever virus, and is found mainly in tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and South America. The disease was first described in the 1600s during an epidemic in Yucatán, Mexico, and since then it has spread to other countries in the Americas and Africa. The most affected countries in Africa include Angola, Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and Uganda.

Yellow fever is transmitted to humans through the bite of an infected mosquito. The most common species of mosquito that can carry and transmit the virus is Aedes aegypti, which is commonly known as the “yellow fever mosquito.” The virus has been reported in more than 20 countries in the Americas, including Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela. In Africa, the countries most affected by yellow fever are Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and Uganda.

In order to prevent the spread of yellow fever, countries have implemented vaccination campaigns to protect the population from the disease. Vaccination is recommended for people who are travelling to areas where yellow fever is endemic. In addition, countries in Africa and South America have implemented mosquito control measures to reduce the risk of mosquito-borne diseases.
