Subtitle: Oxygen Classification
Oxygen is a chemical element with the symbol O and atomic number 8. Oxygen is a member of the chalcogen group on the periodic table and is a highly reactive nonmetal and oxidizing agent that readily forms oxides with most elements as well as with other compounds. Oxygen is the most abundant element in the Earth's crust and makes up almost 21% of the air we breathe. Oxygen is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas at standard temperature and pressure.
Oxygen is classified as a non-flammable gas. It is also classified as a non-toxic gas, meaning it is not poisonous to humans when inhaled in normal concentrations. Oxygen is highly soluble in water, and is the most commonly used gas in many industrial and medical applications.
