"Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out what an ENT can do for chronic rhinitis. I've been dealing with this condition for a while and have tried different treatments, but nothing seems to help. Does anyone have any experience with this or know what an ENT can do to help? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What is an ENT?

An ENT, or Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor, is a medical specialist who is trained to diagnose and treat diseases and disorders related to the ear, nose, and throat. They are also known as otolaryngologists.

What is Chronic Rhinitis?

Chronic rhinitis is a long-term inflammation of the nose and nasal passages that can cause a variety of symptoms, including sneezing, congestion, runny nose, postnasal drip, and a sore throat. It can be caused by allergies, infections, or environmental factors.

What Can an ENT Do for Chronic Rhinitis?

An ENT can diagnose chronic rhinitis and provide treatment options. Depending on the underlying cause of the condition, treatment may include medications, lifestyle changes, or even surgery. The ENT may also recommend allergy testing, or a CT scan to rule out any other conditions that may be causing the symptoms. Additionally, the ENT may refer you to an allergist to identify and manage any allergies that could be contributing to your chronic rhinitis.
