What are the two types of dying

I'm looking for help understanding the two types of dying. Can anyone explain the differences between them? I'm curious as to how they are classified and what they mean for a person's life. Are there any unique circumstances that determine which type of dying a person may experience? Are they both life-ending events? Any information or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
