Symptoms of Dental Cancer
The most common symptom of dental cancer is a lump or sore in the mouth that does not go away. This may appear as a white or red patch, an ulcer, or an abnormal growth. Other symptoms of dental cancer may include:
• Persistent pain in the affected area
• Bleeding from the affected area
• Loose teeth or a feeling of pressure in the mouth
• Jaw pain or difficulty opening the mouth
• Numbness in the jaw or tongue
• Difficulty swallowing or speaking
• Loss of appetite or weight loss
If you experience any of these symptoms, you should contact your dentist as soon as possible. Early diagnosis and treatment can help to reduce the risk of the cancer spreading.
