I'm struggling to understand the symptoms of angina and am hoping to get some help from other forum users. Does anyone have any experience with angina? What are the most common symptoms? Is there anything else I should know? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Symptoms of Angina

Angina is chest pain or discomfort that occurs when the heart muscle doesn't get enough oxygen-rich blood. It is a symptom of coronary artery disease, which occurs when the arteries that supply blood to the heart become narrow or blocked. Angina can range from mild discomfort to severe pain.

Common Symptoms of Angina

The most common symptom of angina is chest pain or discomfort. This pain or discomfort may feel like pressure, squeezing, burning, or tightness in the chest. It may also spread to the arms, back, neck, or jaw. Other symptoms may include:

• Shortness of breath

• Nausea
• Sweating
• Fatigue
• Lightheadedness
• Palpitations (awareness of the heart beating)

When to See a Doctor

If you experience any of the symptoms of angina, especially chest pain, it is important to seek medical attention. Chest pain can be a sign of a heart attack or another serious condition. It is important to get prompt medical attention to rule out a life-threatening condition.
