Hi everyone! I'm looking for some help understanding the warning signs of an allergic reaction. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can you tell me what the three main warning signs are? I'd really appreciate any advice or information you can provide.

Signs of Allergic Reaction

An allergic reaction occurs when the body's immune system reacts to an allergen, such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, or certain foods. Allergic reactions can range from mild to severe, and can include symptoms such as itching, redness, swelling, and difficulty breathing. It is important to be aware of the warning signs of an allergic reaction in order to seek medical attention if needed. Here are three warning signs of an allergic reaction:

Hives: Hives are raised, itchy bumps that appear on the skin after coming into contact with an allergen. Hives can range in size from a few millimeters to several centimeters and may be red, pink, or skin-colored.

Swelling: Swelling, or edema, occurs when an area of the body becomes inflamed and filled with fluid. Allergic reactions often cause swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat.

Difficulty Breathing: Severe allergic reactions, known as anaphylaxis, can cause difficulty breathing due to a narrowing of the airways. Symptoms of anaphylaxis include wheezing, chest tightness, coughing, and shortness of breath.
