Hey everyone,

I'm hoping someone can help me out with a question I have about CPR. I'm wondering what the three main reasons are to stop performing CPR on someone? I'm trying to learn more about how to properly perform CPR and the situations when it's best to stop. Is there anyone out there who can help me understand this better? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Reasons to Stop CPR

1. Patient Revival: Once a patient begins to show signs of life, such as breathing on their own, CPR is no longer needed and should be stopped.

2. Physician’s Orders: If a physician or medical professional on the scene orders CPR to be stopped, it should be stopped immediately.

3. Inability to Perform CPR: If a rescuer or medical professional is unable to effectively perform CPR, it is best to stop and seek help from a more experienced provider.
