Should you work out 7 days a week

I'm trying to get into a consistent exercise routine, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to work out 7 days a week. Does anyone have any experience with this? What kind of benefits or drawbacks would I experience? Is this a sustainable approach to exercise? I'm looking for advice from people who have tried this kind of routine before, so any insight would be really helpful.
