I'm looking for some help from other forum users because I'm unsure if tooth cyst surgery is performed under anesthesia. I'm considering getting this procedure done for myself and I'm trying to understand the process better. Does anyone know if anesthesia is used for this type of surgery? Are there any risks associated with it? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, tooth cyst surgery is typically performed under general anesthesia. This means that the patient will be asleep during the entire procedure. General anesthesia is usually recommended for this type of surgery because it is minimally invasive and ensures that the patient will not feel any pain. Additionally, general anesthesia allows the dentist or oral surgeon to take the time necessary to properly treat the cyst while ensuring the patient’s comfort.

Anesthesia is a type of medication used to relax the patient and block pain during a medical procedure. Anesthesia can be used in the form of a gas or an injection. It is administered by a qualified anesthesiologist who monitors the patient's vital signs throughout the procedure. General anesthesia is used for more extensive procedures that require a longer recovery time.
