Strangulation is an act of applying pressure to the neck of an individual, usually to the point of unconsciousness or death. It is an illegal form of violence in many countries, and is not generally accepted as a form of self-defense.
Self-Defense
Self-defense is the use of force to protect oneself or another individual from harm. In many countries, self-defense is considered a legal justification for the use of physical force, provided that the force used is reasonable and necessary to protect the individual or another person from harm.
Strangulation and Self-Defense
In general, the use of strangulation as a form of self-defense is not acceptable under the law. Strangulation can cause serious injury or death, and as such, is not considered a reasonable or necessary use of force in a self-defense scenario. In some cases, however, the use of strangulation may be considered reasonable if the individual has no other means of defending themselves. This is usually the case in situations where the individual is being attacked and is in imminent danger of serious harm or death.
