I'm looking for some help understanding whether strangulation is considered blunt force trauma or not. I'm not sure if it's considered a form of blunt force trauma or if it's classified differently. I'm hoping to get some answers from other people who may have knowledge about this topic. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Strangulation is not considered blunt force trauma because it does not involve a physical impact to the body. Strangulation is defined as the application of pressure to the neck, which restricts the flow of blood and oxygen to the brain and can lead to unconsciousness or death. Blunt force trauma, on the other hand, is an injury caused by the direct impact of an object such as a hammer, a bat, or a rock, which can cause significant tissue damage.
