I'm looking for some help with food allergies and hypersensitivity. I recently heard about food allergy type 4 hypersensitivity and I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience or knowledge about it? Can someone explain what type 4 hypersensitivity is and what are the symptoms? Are there any treatments available for this type of allergy? Any advice or information would be really helpful.

Yes, food allergy is a type of hypersensitivity reaction, also known as type 4 hypersensitivity. Type 4 hypersensitivity occurs when the body’s immune system mistakenly identifies a harmless substance, such as food, as a threat and produces antibodies to fight against it. This reaction often leads to an allergic reaction, which can range from mild to severe. Symptoms of food allergy can include rash, hives, itching, swelling, difficulty breathing, and in some cases, anaphylactic shock.
