Is ethylene an asphyxiant

I'm new to the subject of asphyxiants and I'm wondering if ethylene is one of them. Can anyone offer any insight into this? I'd really appreciate any help as I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this subject. Have you ever had experience with ethylene as an asphyxiant? Do you know of any studies or research that has been done on this topic? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Ethylene is a colorless, flammable gas that is used in a variety of industrial and agricultural processes. In its pure form, it is a potent asphyxiant, meaning it can cause death due to lack of oxygen. At low concentrations, ethylene can cause eye and respiratory irritation, headaches and fatigue.

Asphyxiant
An asphyxiant is defined as a substance or environment that causes a person to suffocate or become unconscious due to lack of oxygen. Asphyxiants can be gases, such as carbon monoxide, or liquid substances that displace oxygen in the air. Inhaling high concentrations of an asphyxiant can be fatal.

In conclusion, ethylene is an asphyxiant, and exposure to high concentrations can be fatal. It is important to take safety precautions when handling or working around ethylene to avoid the risk of asphyxiation.
