Is azithromycin used for Covid

I'm having trouble finding information about whether azithromycin is being used to treat Covid-19. Can anyone out there help me understand if it is being used, and if so, for what purposes? I've read some conflicting reports online, but I'd really like to hear from other people who may have more experience with this. I'd really appreciate any help or advice.

Azithromycin is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that is used to treat a range of bacterial infections. It is not currently recommended for use in treating COVID-19. The World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other health authorities have not recommended the use of antibiotics for the treatment of COVID-19.
