I'm hoping someone can help me out here. I'm concerned about my recent blood pressure reading of 140/90. Is this normal or high? I'm not sure what to make of it and I'm looking for some advice. Does anyone have any experience with blood pressure readings, and can tell me what this means? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

140/90 mmHg is considered high blood pressure or hypertension. Hypertension is a medical condition in which the pressure of the blood in the arteries is elevated. A normal blood pressure reading is 120/80 mmHg. If your systolic blood pressure (top number) is 140 or higher and/or your diastolic pressure (bottom number) is 90 or higher, you have high blood pressure.

The answer to this question depends on a few factors. Generally speaking, a blood pressure reading of 140/90 (or 140 over 90) is considered to be high blood pressure (hypertension). This is because the systolic pressure (the top number) is higher than the recommended number of 120 mmHg, and the diastolic pressure (the bottom number) is higher than the recommended number of 80 mmHg.

However, it is important to note that these numbers can vary from person to person. For some people, 140/90 might be considered normal, depending on their age, activity level, and other factors. For example, if you are a young, active adult, 140/90 could be a normal reading for you. However, if you are an older person, or if you are inactive, 140/90 might be considered high blood pressure.

Overall, it is important to discuss your individual health and blood pressure with your doctor to determine if 140/90 is normal or high for you. Your doctor can take into account your personal health history and lifestyle to determine if this reading is within the normal range for you.

A blood pressure reading of 140/90 is considered to be high blood pressure. High blood pressure, or hypertension, is a common medical condition in which the force of the blood pushing against the walls of the arteries is too high. This can lead to serious health complications, including heart attack, stroke, and kidney disease. It is important to speak to your doctor if you have a blood pressure reading of 140/90 or higher to ensure you are properly diagnosed and treated.

No, a blood pressure of 140/90 mm Hg is not considered normal. Generally, a blood pressure reading of less than 120/80 mm Hg is considered a normal or healthy reading. A reading of 140/90 mm Hg is considered high and would require medical attention in order to reduce the risk of complications such as stroke or heart attack. It is important to note that a single reading of 140/90 mm Hg is not necessarily indicative of a long-term problem and could be a result of stress, a poor diet, or other temporary factors. It is important to consult with a medical professional to determine the best course of action.

High blood pressure is considered to be greater than 140/90 mmHg, so the reading of 140/90 mmHg is considered to be high blood pressure. It is recommended to see a doctor if your blood pressure is consistently this high, as it could lead to serious medical conditions.
