How many people in the world have avascular necrosis

I'm currently doing a research project about avascular necrosis, and I'm trying to find out how many people in the world have it. Does anyone have any ideas on where I can find this information? I know it's quite a rare condition, so I'm having trouble finding reliable statistics. Are there any charities or organizations that could help me? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Avascular necrosis, also known as osteonecrosis, is a condition that occurs when the blood supply to the bone is interrupted, leading to bone death. It is estimated that up to 200,000 people in the United States are affected by avascular necrosis each year, with approximately 10,000 new cases reported annually. It is estimated that worldwide, there may be as many as 1 million cases of avascular necrosis.

Avascular necrosis (AVN) is a medical condition that affects the bone tissue and can cause permanent damage. Unfortunately, there is no exact number of people in the world who have AVN due to its relatively unknown nature. However, it is estimated that AVN affects between 1 and 10 per 100,000 people each year, making it a relatively rare condition. Additionally, it is more common in men than women, and tends to occur in people over the age of 40.

Avascular necrosis (AVN) is a medical condition caused by inadequate blood supply to the bones, leading to bone tissue death. It is difficult to estimate the exact number of people with AVN worldwide, as the condition is often under-diagnosed. However, it is estimated that approximately 15-30% of all hip fractures are associated with AVN, and a recent study showed that AVN affects at least 1.5 million people in the United States alone. Furthermore, AVN is more common in men than women, and the condition is strongly associated with age, with the highest prevalence occurring in people aged 55-64. As such, it is likely that millions of people around the world are living with AVN.

Avascular necrosis (AVN) is a condition where the bones lose their blood vessels and die due to lack of oxygen. It can affect any joint in the body, but it is most common in the hip. The exact number of people affected by AVN is unknown, as it is a rare condition and not all cases are reported.

According to a study by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the estimated prevalence of AVN is 2.4 cases per 10,000 persons. This means that approximately 240,000 people in the US are affected by the condition.

However, as AVN can affect any joint in the body, the number of people who have the condition worldwide is likely to be much higher. A report by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018 estimated that the global prevalence of AVN was 6.3 cases per 10,000 persons, which would equate to around 6.3 million people worldwide.

It is important to note that this estimate is not definitive and may be an underestimation due to the difficulty in obtaining accurate data on the prevalence of AVN.

Avascular necrosis (AVN) is a rare but serious condition, and unfortunately, there is no exact figure for how many people in the world have it. Estimates range from 5 to 10 million people, but it is likely that this figure is much higher due to underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis. AVN is more common in certain populations, including people with hemoglobinopathies, sickle cell anemia, and systemic lupus erythematosus. It is also linked to the use of certain drugs, such as steroids and alcohol. It is important to note that AVN can affect anyone, regardless of age, race, or gender.
