I'm wondering how many groups documents are divided into. I've heard there are three categories, but I'm not sure what they are. I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain the different types of documents and the grouping system used to categorize them.

I'm relatively new to the topic, so I'm not sure what the best way to organize documents is.

Documents can be divided into two main groups: primary and secondary sources. Primary sources are original documents, such as letters, diaries, photographs, and other artifacts. Secondary sources provide information about primary sources, such as books, articles, and other documents.

Documents can be divided into two main groups: physical documents and digital documents. Physical documents are any paper-based materials, such as books, letters, and photographs. Digital documents are any documents stored electronically, such as emails, spreadsheets, and webpages. Each type of document has its own distinct advantages and disadvantages. Physical documents are more durable and easier to store, but they take up a lot of space and can be difficult to access remotely. Digital documents are more easily searchable and can be easily shared, but they are more vulnerable to tampering and data theft.

Documents can be divided into three main groups: structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. Structured documents are organized in a consistent way, meaning the data is organized in clearly-defined fields, and can typically be found in databases. Semi-structured documents contain some elements of structure, but are often more free-form. Unstructured documents are usually created by humans and lack any formal structure or organization. Examples of these could be emails, text documents, and webpages.

Documents can be divided into two major groups: those which are text-based and those which are multimedia-based. Text-based documents are those which primarily contain written words and phrases, such as books, articles, and reports. Multimedia-based documents are those which contain elements from multiple media types, such as audio, video, and images, which can be used together to create a complete document, such as a website or a multimedia presentation. In addition to these two main groups, documents can also be divided into smaller subgroups based on their specific format, such as .docx, .pdf, and .jpg files.

Documents are typically divided into two main groups: those that are public and those that are private. Public documents are usually accessible to anyone, while private documents are restricted to specific individuals or organizations.
