Hello everyone!
I'm looking for help understanding how long amylase stays elevated in pancreatitis. I recently had a family member diagnosed with this condition, and I'm trying to learn as much as I can about it.
From what I've read, amylase is an enzyme released by the pancreas and is used to help the body break down fat and other nutrients. I understand that amylase levels can be elevated in cases of pancreatitis, but I'm not sure how long these levels remain elevated.
Does anyone here have any experience with this? Are there any general guidelines on the duration of elevated amylase levels in pancreatitis? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
