How long do you sleep when choked out

I'm curious to know how long someone can be knocked out through a chokehold. Has anyone experienced this before, or have any knowledge on the subject?

I'm asking because I'm curious to know how long people stay asleep after a chokehold. Does the amount of time vary depending on the person or the technique used? Are there any health risks associated with being choked out for an extended period of time?

I'd love to hear from anyone who has experience or knowledge on this topic. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Choking Out: Basics

Choking out is a form of submission in martial arts or self-defense and involves cutting off the blood and oxygen supply to the brain by applying pressure to the neck. This can be done by using a chokehold, such as a rear naked choke or a triangle choke, or by applying pressure directly to the carotid artery in the neck. Choking out can cause unconsciousness in seconds and can also result in serious injury or even death.

How Long Does Choking Out Last?

The length of time that someone remains unconscious after being choked out depends on the technique used and the amount of pressure applied. Generally, the longer the choke is held, the longer the person will remain unconscious. It is possible for someone to remain unconscious for several minutes after being choked out, but this is not the norm. Once the person is released from the choke, they will usually regain consciousness within a few seconds.

Potential Risks of Choking Out

Choking out can cause serious injury, including brain damage and even death. It is important to understand the risks associated with choking out before attempting it. People who are inexperienced or untrained in the technique should not attempt choking out, as it could lead to serious injury or death. It is also important to be aware that the effects of choking out can linger after the person has regained consciousness and they may experience dizziness, confusion, and headaches for several hours afterwards.
