How high is lipase for pancreatitis

I need help understanding lipase levels for pancreatitis. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm trying to understand if lipase levels are typically high or low in cases of pancreatitis. Is there a standard range that I should be aware of? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Lipase is an enzyme produced in the pancreas and is usually measured to diagnose pancreatitis. Pancreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas, which can be acute or chronic. High levels of lipase in the blood can indicate that a person is suffering from pancreatitis. The normal range of lipase in the blood is between 0 and 180 units per liter (U/L). However, in cases of pancreatitis, the lipase level may be much higher than the normal range, reaching up to 2,000 U/L or more.
