How do you know if your liver is weak

I'm concerned about my liver health and am wondering if my liver is weak. I'm starting to experience fatigue and light nausea, and I'm wondering if these are signs of a weak liver. Does anyone have experience with this or know how to tell if your liver is weak? Are there any tests or treatments that I should look into? I'd really appreciate any help or advice from other forum users.

Symptoms of Weak Liver

The most common symptoms of a weak liver are:

Fatigue - Fatigue is one of the most common signs of a weak liver. This can include feeling tired all the time, having difficulty focusing, or feeling exhausted after even minor physical activity.

Weight gain - Unexplained weight gain can be a sign of a weak liver. This is because the liver is responsible for metabolizing fat and toxins, and if the liver is weak, fat and toxins can build up in the body and cause weight gain.

Stomach discomfort - People with a weak liver may experience abdominal bloating, nausea, indigestion, or pain in the upper right side of the abdomen.

Skin issues - Weak liver can cause skin issues such as acne, eczema, or dryness. It can also cause the skin to become yellowish in color, a condition known as jaundice.

Changes in urine color - A weak liver can cause the urine to become dark in color. It can also cause the urine to have a strong odor.

Confusion - A weak liver can cause confusion, memory loss, and difficulty concentrating.

Diagnosing a Weak Liver

If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, it is important to speak to your doctor as soon as possible. Your doctor may order a series of tests to diagnose a weak liver, such as a liver function test, an abdominal ultrasound, or a CT scan. If your doctor suspects that your liver is weak, they may recommend lifestyle changes or medications to help improve your condition.

There are a few signs and symptoms that can indicate a weak liver. They include fatigue, weight loss, nausea, yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice), dark-colored urine, itchy skin, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and swollen feet or ankles. Other warning signs include mental confusion, easy bruising, and unusual bleeding. If you experience any of these symptoms, it's important to talk to your doctor as soon as possible. Your doctor may do blood tests to check for liver function, or they may recommend a liver biopsy to diagnose any underlying issues.
