How do I know if my pancreas hurts

I'm feeling pain in my upper abdomen and I'm wondering if it could be my pancreas. Is there anything I should look out for to know if my pancreas is the cause? I'm really concerned and would really appreciate any help or advice from other forum users. Could anyone please tell me what the symptoms of a hurting pancreas might be? Are there any tests I can do to confirm or rule out a pancreas issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
