I'm hoping to get some help from other forum users. Does anyone have any experience with pancreatitis causing tenderness? I have recently been diagnosed with pancreatitis and I'm trying to understand what symptoms I may be dealing with. I know the typical symptoms include abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting, but I'm wondering if tenderness is also a symptom.

The most common symptom of pancreatitis is abdominal pain. This pain can range in severity from mild to severe and can be located in the middle or upper part of the abdomen. Other symptoms of pancreatitis include nausea, loss of appetite, fever, chills, and a rapid heart rate. In some cases, tenderness in the abdomen can also be experienced.

Causes of Pancreatitis

Pancreatitis can be caused by a number of different factors, including excessive alcohol consumption, gallstones, and certain medications. In some cases, pancreatitis can also be caused by certain genetic conditions.

Treatment of Pancreatitis

Treatment for pancreatitis depends on the underlying cause. In most cases, treatment includes medication to reduce inflammation and pain. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to remove gallstones or other obstructions.
