"Hi everyone, I'm an INFJ and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced similar struggles. Do people really understand the INFJ type? I'm looking for advice from anyone who can relate to the INFJ experience.

INFJ stands for Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging. It is one of the 16 different personality types that are part of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). People who are identified as INFJs are often referred to as “advocates” or “idealists” and are known for being creative, intuitive, and open-minded.

Do People Understand INFJ?

The short answer is yes, people can and do understand INFJ. However, it is important to recognize that understanding this personality type requires more than just reading about it. It takes time, effort, and patience to fully understand someone who is an INFJ.

People who are INFJs are often misunderstood because of their introverted nature. They tend to be more private and reserved, and they prefer to work alone rather than in a group setting. They also have a tendency to be deeply intuitive and focused on the feelings of those around them. Because of this, INFJs can come off as aloof or unapproachable.

How to Better Understand INFJ

In order to better understand INFJ, it is important to take the time to get to know them on a more personal level. Ask them about their interests, values, and goals. Try to get to know them in a way that goes beyond just surface-level questions.

It is also important to recognize that INFJs are often very sensitive to criticism and can take things personally. Therefore, it is important to be respectful and understanding when interacting with an INFJ.

Finally, it is important to remember that INFJs are individuals and that no two INFJs are exactly alike. As such, it is important to keep an open mind and be willing to learn about the different ways in which INFJs think and approach life.
