Do air purifiers reduce CO2

I'm looking for some help understanding if air purifiers can reduce CO2 levels in the air. Does anyone have experience with this? I've heard mixed opinions but I'm trying to find more information. Does anyone know if air purifiers can actually reduce CO2 levels in a room? Are there any specific ones that are better at doing this? Any advice or feedback would be appreciated.

Do Air Purifiers Reduce CO2?

Air purifiers are devices designed to filter out pollutants and allergens in the air. Many people use them to improve indoor air quality, but do they also reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) levels?

CO2 is a colorless, odorless gas that is naturally produced by humans and other animals as a byproduct of respiration. It is also a major contributor to global warming, as it traps heat in the atmosphere.

The short answer is that air purifiers can help reduce CO2 levels, but not to a significant degree. Air purifiers work by trapping particles in the air, such as dust, smoke, and allergens, and they do not target CO2 specifically. As a result, their ability to reduce CO2 levels is limited.

Why Do Air Purifiers Not Reduce CO2 Levels?

Air purifiers do not reduce CO2 levels because they are not designed to target this specific pollutant. Air purifiers are designed to filter out particles in the air, such as dust and smoke, and they are not as effective at removing gases, such as CO2.

Can Air Purifiers Help Reduce CO2 Levels?

Air purifiers may be able to help reduce CO2 levels, but it is important to note that their effect is limited. Air purifiers are designed to filter out particles in the air, not gases, so they cannot reduce CO2 levels to a significant degree.

However, air purifiers may be able to reduce CO2 levels indirectly. For example, if an air purifier is used to filter out dust and smoke particles, it may also help reduce CO2 levels by preventing them from entering the air in the first place.

Conclusion

Air purifiers can help reduce CO2 levels, but only to a limited degree. Air purifiers are designed to filter out particles in the air, such as dust and smoke, and are not as effective at removing gases, such as CO2. However, air purifiers may be able to reduce CO2 levels indirectly, by preventing them from entering the air in the first place.
