Did Jesus raise the dead

I'm looking for help and advice about the question of whether Jesus raised the dead. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has asked this question, but I'm curious to hear what other people believe. Does anyone have any insight into the Biblical accounts of Jesus raising the dead? Can anyone provide evidence either way? I'd love to hear what others think.

Did Jesus Raise the Dead?

The Bible is full of stories of Jesus performing miracles, including healing the sick, calming storms, and even walking on water. But did Jesus also raise the dead? There are a few stories in the Bible that suggest he did.

The Raising of Lazarus

One of the most famous stories of Jesus raising the dead is the story of Lazarus. In John 11, Jesus hears that his friend Lazarus is ill. By the time Jesus gets there, Lazarus has already died. Jesus tells those gathered around the tomb to roll away the stone, and he calls out to Lazarus, saying, “Lazarus, come out!” At Jesus’ command, Lazarus comes out of the tomb, alive.

The Widow’s Son

In Luke 7, Jesus is approached by a widow whose son has died. She pleads with Jesus to heal her son, and at Jesus’ touch, the boy comes back to life.

Jairus’ Daughter

Another story of Jesus raising the dead is found in Mark 5. A synagogue ruler named Jairus approaches Jesus and begs him to heal his daughter, who has died. Jesus goes with Jairus to his home and tells the girl to get up. At Jesus’ command, the girl gets up and is alive again.

These stories in the Bible suggest that Jesus did indeed raise the dead. While there is no way to know for sure, these stories offer us a glimpse into the power of Jesus and the miracles he was able to perform.

Yes, Jesus did raise the dead. In the Bible, Jesus performed several miracles including raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11:43-44). Jesus also raised the daughter of Jairus from the dead (Mark 5:35-43) and He resurrected Himself after being crucified (John 20:1-18). These miracles demonstrate Jesus' power over death and His authority as the son of God. Jesus' resurrection serves as a symbol of hope for all believers that through faith in Him, they too can experience eternal life.

Yes, Jesus did raise the dead. The Bible records a number of instances of Jesus raising the dead, such as the daughter of Jairus (Matthew 9:18–26), the widow's son (Luke 7:11–17), and Lazarus (John 11:1–44). These events demonstrate Jesus' power to raise the dead and provide evidence of His deity. Jesus also claimed authority to raise the dead (John 5:25–29) and promised to raise believers from the dead at the end of time (John 5:28–29).

"What evidence is there that Jesus raised the dead?"

The primary evidence that Jesus raised the dead comes from the Gospel accounts. The most well-known story is that of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead in John 11. There are also accounts of Jesus raising a widow's son in Luke 7, and Jairus’ daughter in Matthew 9. Additionally, there is evidence from other writers of the time, such as Josephus, who wrote about Jesus raising a man named Lazarus. Such evidence suggests that Jesus had the power to raise the dead.
