Can you forget someone after a coma

I'm looking for help from other members of the forum. Recently, someone close to me was in a coma and I'm wondering if it's possible to forget someone after such an experience. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it possible to forget someone after a coma or is it more likely that the person will remember? Any advice or information would be appreciated.
