Can pancreatitis last an hour

I'm looking for some help. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience of pancreatitis lasting an hour? I recently had severe abdominal pain and was taken to the hospital. The doctors said it was pancreatitis, but it only lasted an hour. I'm wondering if this is normal or if there are any other potential causes of this kind of abdominal pain that only lasts an hour. Has anyone else had a similar experience or know anything about pancreatitis lasting an hour? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
