I'm hoping to get some help from fellow forum users. I have been living with chronic rhinitis for a few years now and I'm trying to find out if this is normal or if it could last for years. Does anyone else have experience with chronic rhinitis and can you tell me if it can last for years? Are there any treatments that have been successful? I'd really appreciate any advice or information that anyone can provide. Thank you.

Yes, chronic rhinitis can last for years. It is a condition where the nasal passages become inflamed and irritated, resulting in persistent sneezing, runny nose, and congestion. It can be caused by allergies, such as to pollen, dust, mold, or animal dander, or from irritants in the air, such as smoke, fumes, or chemical odors. In some cases, chronic rhinitis may be caused by an underlying medical condition, such as a sinus infection or a deviated septum. Treatment for chronic rhinitis can include medications, such as nasal steroids, antihistamines, decongestants, and nasal sprays, as well as lifestyle changes, such as avoiding triggers and improving air quality.

"Can chronic rhinitis last for years?"

Yes, chronic rhinitis can last for years, as it is a long-term condition that is defined as lasting more than 12 weeks. Chronic rhinitis is caused by a variety of factors, including allergens, irritants, and hormonal changes, and can make it difficult to breathe due to nasal inflammation and congestion. Fortunately, there are treatments available that can help manage the symptoms of chronic rhinitis and reduce flare-ups. However, due to the chronic nature of the condition, it is important to follow a long-term management plan to ensure the symptoms are kept under control over the years.
