Can AST and ALT levels fluctuate

I'm concerned about my AST and ALT levels. I've been told they're slightly elevated, and I'm wondering if they can fluctuate, or if they tend to stay relatively stable. Can anyone help me out with this? I'd really appreciate any insight or advice from people who have gone through this before.

Can AST and ALT levels fluctuate?

What are AST and ALT?

AST and ALT are enzymes found in the liver and other organs. AST stands for aspartate aminotransferase and ALT stands for alanine aminotransferase. They are two of the most important liver enzymes and are used to measure liver health.

Do AST and ALT levels fluctuate?

Yes, AST and ALT levels can fluctuate. The levels of these enzymes can be affected by a number of different factors, such as diet, medications, and alcohol consumption. In addition, the levels of these enzymes can also be affected by certain medical conditions, such as liver disease or viral hepatitis. It is important to note that these fluctuations can be normal and not necessarily indicative of a health problem.
