I'm hoping to get some help from the forum users. Has anyone ever heard of an autopsy being used to show that a person suffocated by a pillow? I've heard of other forms of suffocation being detected by an autopsy, but I'm not sure about suffocation by pillow. Could someone please provide some information or insight on this topic? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

An autopsy can provide evidence that a person was suffocated by a pillow. Autopsies are used to determine the cause of death and can provide evidence of suffocation if the pillow was used to obstruct the person's airway. During an autopsy, a medical examiner will look for physical signs of asphyxiation, such as petechiae (tiny red dots on the skin) or signs of pressure on the neck. The examiner may also look for evidence of other medical conditions, such as a heart attack or respiratory illness, that could have contributed to the death. If the examiner finds evidence of suffocation, the death will be classified as a homicide.
